Hi there.

Seeing as I won't be able to get anything out of ASUS regarding the G55 and a possible 670M or 670MX card.
I decided to purchase a G75VX instead.

I had my eyes on G75VX-T4106H @ http://www.dustin.dk/product/5010666607/asus-g75vx-ci7-2-4-8gb-750-gtx670mx-fhd-17-3-w8/

It says there is no extra room for additional ram blocks.. The way I see it, there is only room for the 8GB that's already in the laptop.

Would be cool if someone could confirm this or perhaps are able to tell me, if I'm wrong?

Not sure I want this model if I don't have the option to get 16GB total.

It is either a typo, or it has 4x 2gb ram sticks installed. (more likely a typo than that) Although, that is how they did my G73sw I had. When I upgraded the RAM to 16gb I had to rip off the top panel and ended up with 4x 2gb sticks of some "quality" ram that I couldn't even sell off on ebay. HAHA!
