Hello ..

enterprise License so i installed it and got rid of the recovery partition cause i don't need it anyway .. my question is how can i
boot my installed windows 8 through UEFI ?? .. and why there is no graphical UEFI boot for this laptop like HP and Dell cheap
models !!! ... can anyone here explain this for me ??!

Thanks in advance

I don't know but UEFI is the first thing I disable

it creates headaches when trying to image your partition for backup purposes and yields no benefits other than supporting drives above 2 TB

sorry i don't understand which uefi boot gui are you talking about. if you're referring to the rog boot logo, from what i've learned, when you did the fresh install, the ui goes with it.

how do you determine that your system is not running uefi bios? you can check if you're running on it or not via system information:

My Bios Mode is : Legacy ... the question is how to install it again and make it UEFI Mode ??!!

oh that:

1. convert your disk to GPT disk type;
2. use a uefi-based usb stick to install w8.

for the second part: (4gb usb stick will do; 8gb is better; assuming you can access it via x:\ ):
1. format it with fat32;
2. copy the contents from your w8 dvd/iso to your usb stick;
3. boot with usbstick (choose uefi:<your.usb.stick> this time)

what are the benefits of UEFI ?

Advantages of UEFI:
1) No 20 year old legacy code
2) Faster boot
3) Richer GUI
4) More overclocking features
5) Room for descriptions
6) Easier to develop
7) Supports GPT disks
8) Network support
9) CPU independent

another question please ... HOW to enable Secure Boot from G75vw Motherboard ??? !!

if you can access the bios, you should be able to find the Secure Boot option in the security tap (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?26679-Boot-to-SSD&p=211929&viewfull=1#post211929).

oh now i got it. i am sorry for not paying much attention.

1. your machine came with stock w7, which doesn't have the secure boot option. only machines with stock w8 have that.
2. latest versions of g75 bios (for machines with stock w7) are like the ones implemented in g55; there is no such option to enable / disable UEFI for you to choose from (to my knowledge).

by default it allows both UEFI and BIOS but this depends on how you install your OS. so the trick to get to the OS running in UEFI mode is this:
1. make sure your target OS disk is of GPT type;
2. install the OS using UEFI mode (the way that works for me is using fat32-based usb stick that has the contents of the w8 ISO; spam the esc key on boot and select uefi:<usb.stick> to proceed).
