Would you like a mid tower? Full tower? or even small one?

Hmmm I was just looking at the Corsair 500r and the NZXT Phantom what do you think of those?

SKOONJar

Full tower preferably

jokrik
03-25-2013, 11:49 PM
Its pretty hard to get a full tower at a decent build with 120$
and yes, phantom is pretty good but its le plastic
dont get me wrong I'm also using a switch 810 but now I rather spend more on the build quality

you wont go wrong with either C70 or Phantom
what cooling will you be using?

SKOONJar

Stock for a while then to a closed loop or a custom water loop. Like a month min

SKOONJar

Whats a good mid tower thats big for that price

To be honest It would be great if you can spend some more on the case
because from personal experience you wont get maximum space for radiators with that budget and will ended up with no future proofing (ie adding another GPU,etc) and have to invest in another case

If youre planning to get into the custom loop world than you might have some excessive budget

the thumb rule personally is 120 rad space for each components and an extra 120. But I'll always go further :)

lets say you will be cooling a CPU and GPU only so you would need at least a 360 radiator or 240+120

But THIS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352029) is a good case IMO

nearly in your budget, some loop potention, good quality build and the sound dampening is just awesome

SKOONJar

Ok lets just say I have a extra 30$ to put on top of the budget is there anything. That looks cool( phantom esk or something that just looks awesome) I only liked the phantom for the looks of it and im still considering it as it has space for a 360 rad up top.

You wont go wrong with that too :)
I've seen alot of good if not some of the best loop in that case

Shoot I got to you too late. I was going to say spend the extra money and buy the 800D. It will save you money and time in the long run. The 600t is a great case though. I love it.

SKOONJar
04-02-2013, 06:16 PM
I've had this built for almost a week. I didn't want to spend a rediculas amount on a case. I spent 100$ on the 600t and I'm fine with that It would triple my spendings if I got 800d.

Thats cute... MSI had the best choice for the price some people don't have the kind of money to spend on a 300 dollar board when this is a high end MSI that I got for half as much. You can argue well theres alot more quality but not enough to make me regret my purchase. Don't give me crap for my decisions because I won't do it to you.

MSI had the best choice for the price

I thought that was another company...ughm hmm (signature)

MSI makes a great board. True ROG/ASUS does make the top of the line but for most people it's overkill anyway. I honestly believe most people don't even notice the difference with the superior moffset build quality or the overclocking ability of most ROG boards. I personally loved my Rampage III, my CVFZ hmm but I preferred to dump more money into the CPU instead of the MOBO and it payed off. My friend has the Rampage IV Extreme, same RAM, Intel 3820, and a GTX 680 w/3GB and my computer scores more on every benchmark because I have a better CPU. We both spent the same amount on CPU&MOBO.

No problem, SKOONJar, with that MSI board! After all this is a building thread... :)

The only thing is that our eyes are more used with the Black&Red theme... but that does not have to influence your decisions... - also, we may not be able to troubleshoot that board when/if the time comes for that...

The guys were just joking around, SKOONJar. Sometimes the jokes get out of hand but I'm sure none of the guys meant any disrespect. So don't take it personally, please.

Resources are scarce. We have to work with what we got. And we respect you for that. With or without an Asus product, you're still part of this community. Do stay around. ;)

Well its gone beyond that which zka and I have already discussed. I recieved insulting rude pms that used inappropriate language.

19729 I got a GTX 680 for 250$ from a family member. I got a picture of it installed but realized the codes on the box are visable is that a bad thing if I were to post that picture?

I want to replace a 200mm fan and the 140 in the back with something with more airflow and less noise and recommendations?

SKOONJar, don't worry. Some people will be complete jerks and others won't.
It's the way of the internet, over the years I have learnt to avoid those type of people or report them to moderators / admins.
Nice & clean build, I like it a lot :D
