If you haven't bought the watercooling kit from swiftech. I personally suggest you buying individual part yourself.
else, it looks like a great system.

pcjunkie209

Ya most likely I almost did that but everything else is inverted. But ya it would look better.:)

pcjunkie209
07-07-2010, 04:36 PM
I have 3 sets of 12inch cold cathode UV lights installed but I am not getting enough light to middle of mobos so I have ordered 4 UV direct beam style light to project towards middle of mobos. So we will c what happens. That means I'll have to find a home for them too. Yea!! lol

07-07-2010, 08:23 PM
haha sweet! how come the shrink wrap have zipties on them? i love zipties though, they work wonders

pcjunkie209
07-07-2010, 08:55 PM
Well because I have had a few wires pull apart before so didn't want it to happen again. lol

Brian@ASUS
07-08-2010, 02:31 AM
zip first then heatshrink. but either way it looks awesome

DarthBeavis
07-09-2010, 01:50 AM
where you do you buy those coiled sata cables?

pcjunkie209
07-09-2010, 03:23 AM
U don't! But I'll share my secret! :) just don't tell anyone. lol Anyways all u need is your standard sata cable and a pencil( a long one) and wrap the cable around the pencil really tight and let go. That's it all nice and neat. It works on all wires but it looks best on fan wires and sata cables.

pcjunkie209
07-09-2010, 03:01 PM
So I made a few changes to my cooling setup. Not much just a little something. It's for an invention I am working on. So needless to say ROG members will be the first to know if it works. :)

Still working on this setup! I am trying to get mountain mods to make me a custom back panel and it would possibly fit the rampage 3 xpander so what's up Brian does asus want to show off the xpander in a case with 4 480s on it in October at sac lanfest?? Let me know because I would need exact measurements to create I/O sheild adapter for my new back panel!! And I would be more than happy to setup at your table with you for display!! :) also I currently have 2 480s but their not asus so??!?!

pcjunkie209
08-04-2010, 01:57 AM
Update on my build: I have been waiting for mountain mods to give me an answer on a custom back panel, well today I was informed that they would be happy to make my panel so it will take about three weeks to get it then I can update my build and finish. :)

Haha! Looking forward to it. I'm getting all my stuff tomorrow. Probably going to start a worklog thread on it since I'll [hopefully soon] be modding the case with the ROG logos amongst maybe other things.

Where is your finished product going to sit? Cause I think that would be a huge distraction if it was within view while I game/watch movies.

Great job on the LEDs. what rad config are you planning to use?

pcjunkie209
08-25-2010, 07:02 PM
Not sure yet basically I'll have 4 rads 3 triple and 1 double and I'll have 4 swiftech 655 pumps so not sure yet?? Any suggestions?? I am hoping to run single loops with dual pumps on both sides. If need be for better temps I can run dual loops on both sides if I'll get better temps, my resivors are dual chambered and I have two. I also have another 655 pump and two other rads if needs but that's a lot of stuff in one case so hopefully 4rads and 4 pumps will be sufficent for 3x sli and CPU on both sides.

ottoyu34
08-25-2010, 07:17 PM
I would choose single loop with dual pumps too, since you could also save space for the res.
Is this all going to fit in one MM case? or you're getting another MM case

pcjunkie209
08-25-2010, 07:42 PM
With my mods that I am having mm make for me it will fit... :) this will be a ONE of a kind U2-UFO even mm said that!!!

pcjunkie209

Most of this case is metal but three panels will be acrylic... I like acrylic! Let me know if you need a had when u get the funds!

This is looking better and better every time I check the thread! Although I don't build much that isn't SFF, I can surely appreciate great planning and workmanship. :D

Thanks!! So what is sff anyway?

craigbru
08-27-2010, 06:48 PM
It stands for Small Form Factor. They are typically anything micro-ATX and smaller, although it's a loose standard based on overall case dimensions. It always makes for a great engineering challenge.

pcjunkie209

Update on F&G
I just received confirmation on my new panels I ordered and they should arrive Thursday. I am pretty much at ground zero with this build meaning I tore it all down due to new panels change placement of mobo's and pus's. It's still got most of the same parts and I have mostly been sleeving wires or modding other parts so when I get panels it's ready to go back together. Anyways more pics by Friday.:)

pcjunkie209

Awesome. Is there more of these coming in?
Nope. I had a friend make the flames out of vinyl, honestly I should have stuck to the airbrush because you can't see the wrinkles in the pic. It didn't go on very easy like I planned. Actually I should have put on from inside. But overall if you don't get right up on it, it looks sweet!:)
Now that I am thinking about it maybe I'll try to flip the panels but I'll have to find longer screws and go with my inverted ROG stickers. I used 5mm panels on the sides so the flame side I countersunk. I wish I would have stuck with the 3mm panels but tools were limited at the time for cutting down and the 5mm is less likely to rip with the table saw I used. lol

As for stickers what are you after Otto??

I wet myself everytime I look at it! lol this will be the most time I have spent building a system or two however you want to put it. Update on the flame panels Otto I did flip them and I put a reverse ROG symbol on and took off the other. Looks bad a$$ that way....(:

Yea, building a watercooled rig that looks good and run perfectly, it requires a lot of time, dedication & money.
I assume you have tested everything out on air first, it's a great moment when it starts for the first time on water.

few questions: Are you using Three pumps? and are those fans CM R4 red led @ 2000rpm?

Good luck!

Gratz pcjunkie! You really cleaned up.

A kind of funny moment for those that weren't there was when they were doing the drawing and another attendee who just goes by "junkie" was called for a prize. At first people thought it was pcjunkie and the announcer said "no, we don't want to give more prizes to him!" :D

You know what this system really needs now? Radio Control! Just picture it, instead of wheeling it about, just add four powered wheels, a steering rack and it would be AWESOME. You could even put a car seat on it and ride about.

Sounds like a gaming rig to me. People have put gaming computers in all sorts of cases so it doesn't matter if it has Compaq on the side. There's a guy from PDXLAN that put his computer inside an old TRS-80 shell.
