Hello dear fellas!

I just restored my notebook to it's orignial state via the recovery CD's.
two problems occured and I think they are linked.

My memory went from 1333mhz to 1066 mhz, and it's giving me random freezes while in game/desktop/watching movies.

I cant enter the "special" place in bios, seeing that's where u go to change that!

so help!

What do you mean that you can't enter the special place? You are able to get into the BIOS then? One thing you may want to do is compare your BIOS version to the latest available through the ASUS website. Often a newer BIOS will be better at detecting memory and correctly setting the speed.

MAKE SURE TO PUT IT ON A FAT32 FLASH DRIVE if you are going to flash the BIOS. People have bricked laptops by using NTFS.
