Just released today from ASUS, enjoy

With these new chipset drivers, although it install most the components from 9.3.1026, now I can see the Turbo Boost kicking in more frequently and to higher speeds reaching all the way to 3.28 Ghz. (stock is 2.3 Ghz.

I have the Intel Turbo Boost Monitor 1.004 to check that

this work for G75VX under Windows 7 ?

yes, if u r upgrading though, u have to run the setup.exe with the -overall -overide command

also, after installing it with this method, reinstall the IRST driver

Hey DanishKid, those chipset drivers aren't even for the G75 chipset bro. Just because it has a higher number doesn't mean it's the latest for our chipset...

Our chipset is the Intel 7 Series, these chipset drivers you're linking to are for Xeon processor E3-1200 v3, Intel 4th Gen Core processor, Intel 8 Series, C220 Series.

Read the readme.txt before posting/installing and stop posting stuff that can potentially screw someone's system.

Intel turbo boost is a hardware feature, not a software one. It doesn't use any drivers or programs to work; the turbo boost monitor is just that, a monitor. A way for you to see what frequency, nothing more.

Are you reading the 238.47 GB from an SSD benchmark and telling us that it's your CPU speed?... You must be posting this in the wrong thread, I believe you meant to post it in the IRST thread.

yes sorry you're right, I meant to post this benchmark for the IRST thread

and thanks for the clarification about the Turbo Boost and the Intel Chipset Drivers

so i guess updating the Intel chipset drivers doesn't do any good?

is that why ASUS has the ancient chipset drivers in the downloads section for the G75VW yet on the driver search there are much newer ones?

Chip set drivers are still very important, they just have nothing to do with the intwp turbo boost from the i7's.
