I have dim screen disabled, sleep disabled, just turn off monitor after 15 mins.

I don't have Power4GearHybrid installed. just the default plans in Windows 7

My nVIDIA Graphics Driver is version: which is equivalent to 311

I don't know what's the issue here, is it the fact that I didn't install Power4Gear Hybrid or is it the driver and I need to install the latest official driver from nVIDIA?

Installed nVIDIA Graphics Driver and the issue is still there.

The brightness goes down to 5 after the screen goes off after the specified time in power management.

Installed Power4Gear Hybrid Utility 1.1.50, same resul.

Last try to fix this, I am downloading the latest nVIDIA driver from the nIVDIA website instead of using the ASUS nVIDIA drivers

I installed the latest nVIDIA Graphics Driver 314.22 with the same result!

This is really annoying! the screen brightness goes down to 50% after returning from being off on the specified amount of time set in power options to go off

please inform Asus Tech people to fix this crap!

I hate my laptop

I found out the problem!!!

When you install Adobe Photoshop CS6, it installs a file on startup called SwitchBoard.exe

I disabled it from startup and rebooted and now the problem is gone!

I test this twice!

Who could've ever thought!

Please add this solution to your database and let me know how can I work with ASUS I am a professional tweaker and troubleshooter
