Hi,

I currently own the ASUS K55VM laptop for about a year. I use it for both gaming and college work (I'm a full time college student). Can I do any upgrades to the K55 (i.e. SSD, better screen FHD maybe, GTX video cards)? Or would it be better off if I buy the G46VW?

I need a laptop that is rather light and portable and small in size (anything less than 15.6" and less than 7 lbs,so I don't want the G55 or the G75), and at the same time able to run most college programs, i.e. SolidWorks, MATHCAD etc etc...

Thanks!

thx Mike_Lu, I wonder if there are any lighter-weighted 15.6" G series laptops from ASUS...or else i have to go for the G46...

@Teh, there are none lighter than the G55, except for the G46, which only has a 900p panel. I'd recommend the G55 then, so that you can have the 1080p panel. Let me tell you, the G55 is lighter than its predecessor, the G53.
