At default my screensize is now 1900x1024 and font = medium (125%)
which makes things really big in my programming world and webbrowser.

so I changed it to Font= normal (100%)
but then the font is tiny, but everything else is normal again...

So I thought ... I'll go back to my prev. resolution of 1600x900 and font-normal (100%)
but now... everything is ok, but the font is really fuzzy..
I tried that Clear View setings but no luck... it stays fuzzy..

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, it iooks like you are a member of this large and growing club (see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-performance/poor-font-rendering-in-windows-8-blurry-text/f52a2002-d748-485c-8b9c-4862806ea94a). It appears the rendering technology is changed in Windows 8 and they are still working the kinks out.

Some users in the thread report improving their browsing experience by using the Chrome browser. Others have also backrevved to Office 2010 to get an improved visual experience with that application suite. Still others report they've abandoned Windows 8 for Windows 7. But then others report no relief for IE10 or Office 2013 on Windows 7.

So it looks like a Clusterfark wrapped in an enigma at the moment, but I'm confident they'll have it worked out in Service Pack 3 or 4.
