Can someone tell me step-by-step how to configure the bios boot menu to check the optical drive for bootable media first and the c: drive second? Have a G75. Thanks.

1. press F2 into BIOS
2. go to boot item
3. press +/- or enter to select boot option priorities
or
1. press esc into boot device manual
2. select your boot device.

unless you always boot from optical drive, i think the better option for you is to hit esc key on POST to bring up the boot menu so that you can choose which one to boot.

if your laptop comes with stock w8, make sure the options in the bios are adjusted accordingly:

1. disable secure boot;
2. disable fast boot;
3. enable launch csm.
