Just a warning. The single screw that holds the back access cover secure has a snap ring on the back side. The screw will not come out without removal of the snap ring. The snap ring could come off and fall inside the laptop if you try and remove screw with cover on. Just loosen it and it will move around. Cover is snapped in tight and takes some pressure to release.

The screw in my laptop came out just fine - I saw no traces of a snap ring and I can't hear anything rattling insinde the laptop. (Assuming there was a snap ring and it fell in.) The back cover required an inordinate amount of force to pull open.

Here is a pic of it on a piece of tape. I left mine out, no need for it. I heard it fall off and it was on top of my RAM. This may only happen if you try and remove the screw. So loosen screw, don't remove. I feel lucky.

The bottom plate on the G750 sucks. Not sure why they changed it. I broke a clip on mine because I was used to the way the older back plates were.

Same thing happened to me. Asus "stupid engineering".

I had a clip brake also. And it seems lke the back clips don't hold the cover flush aymore. The foam tape on the hard drive caddys is to thick or something. Why have al the clips and one screw ? It takes a lot of force to get cover off. It's not designed to be removed more than 2 times.

Asus eStore has the JW version... IDK if they are interchangeable...but it's only $14.99 + shipping so it is cheap to try, please post here if you try it on the JX/JH and it does / doesn't work.

There are a few other things for the G750 on the eStore. Batteries (coming in Jan), disk caddy, keyboard module, etc.
