Personally I love the lighter weight and size of the G46. Considering I'm more of a casual gamer - the loss of CPU power with the gain of a lower price and an easier laptop to travel with was a fair trade-off to me. Memory is cheap and easy to upgrade for both models - I believe the G55 can go up to 32gb while the G46 can only reach 16gb. Again, as a casual gamer this was good enough for me.

Hope that helps.

I'm confused as to what you want to know. You have given no indication as to what your intended usage of the laptop will be. The G55 is overall (as configured) a slightly more capable machine, and weighs more and is slightly larger than the G46 (obviously). :)
