Hi everyone! We're very new here, just sharing our Desk Build with you guys. Not really a worklog cause we're too distracted with the fun of assembling the whole thing! So...did not manage to take much pic.

Here's our new retail ready design:

And here is an actual pic! Drawing vs actual, not much difference ain't it? :)

UNBOXING! no. kidding, there isn't any, not even the Desk cause its direct from factory bubble wrapped. So here is the base, it comes in 4 pieces; left & right structure and the two middle bars connecting them together.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130527_122211.jpg

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130527_122139.jpg

They're extremely strong and sturdy, connected with 12 bolts in total.

Here comes the ultra light aluminium TOP, attached firmly with another 4 bolts. *it can be lifted up with a pinky, thats how light aluminium is! They're strong too cause we used industrial grade aluminium. Welded :p
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130524_135030.jpg

Huge panel at the bottom for you to tidy all your messy cables from underneath. There's a cover for it of course.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130524_135044.jpg

12x 120mm Fan holes in total and there's Stainless Steel Mesh Dust Filters for all of them!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130524_135052.jpg

Middle cut out for your mouse...your keyboard...your screen...your watever...but not for your power cable
scroll back up and you will see 2x small square cut out. THAT is for your power cables. They will remain hidden underneath sliding in between the left & right base structure till the floor!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130524_135100.jpg

Next, the inner trays, 2 of them, 1 for mobo and another for...whatever you have in your mind. Such as this nicely laser cut logo and wordings :P
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/IMG_20130524_175212.jpg

Test-fit, perfecto! *psst* if you've an eagle eye, you will notice something ain't right here. hint: mother!!!

Multicolor LED with wireless remote! Lotsa color, how many selection?...did not count em.

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130529_185011.jpg

At first, the gap at the left & right base structure was meant for power cables to pass through...unexpectedly with the LED on, they gave a rather "tasty" effect :cool2:
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130529_185031.jpg

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130529_185046.jpg

Notice the wiring that goes to the square cut out
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130529_185111.jpg

It goes here
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa275/vahn87/Desk%20V2%20no%20watermark/20130622_133838.jpg

And the result is this

owh, you're asking bout the surface area, mislead by the typo "are" lol. For this particular unit, it's 100cm x 80cm. You can have a look at the first drawing image for more info on the dimension.

With so much space you can squeeze in so much more hardware to make this a beast build. Pity you did not. But looking good!

No words, its just beautiful. id fly to malaysia to get one of these if i had the cash. :)
Question: how accessible are the io ports behind the motherboard? (will all the tubing and the psu cables running behind.

Its still very spacious at the back unless you're using a very thick radiator such as Monsta TXT. If you insist on using such thick rad, you may need to mount the fans externally and have it covered with the rad filter provided.

I really like the Asus vector desk, there's plenty of space for custom water cooling and looks more high tech than a pc case.

They are beautiful pc's Vector and Raja, please post some more pics when completed Raja.
