welcome to the ROG Forums and to answer your question..there can be a big difference in game load times....not to mention much faster boot times, how could you not get an SSD? :)

You will gain faster boot time, faster start of programs and opening of files and ofc your games will load much faster.

Here is a litle video you can watch to see the difference

Thanks for answering! Increase the FPS in most games? or only decrease the load time? I am happy to have an Asus G75VX but desire a little more FPS

fps comes from vga not ssd, you would have to overclock the vga in order to get higher fps, but, thats not a guarantee...you could always use lower settings in game lol

Well it is not worth installing an SSD if you want more FPS, thanks for answering my questions I resolved

Well an upgrade to a SSD is probably the most significant upgrade you can make. I think a 250GB size is optimum If your only running a 5400 Hard drive, any SSD will blow your mind.

This is the biggest noticeable overall workflow upgrade. It will make a huge difference, but won't add FPS...You should do it. It just feels better.

I have a Samsung SSD 840 250Gb in mine. The boot times for windows 8 are negligible. However, programs and games do load faster. There is no increase in FPS with an SSD, just faster load times.

If you want more FPS download MSI Afterburner tool and overclock the GPU that way. The temperature increase is less than 5 degrees celcius for me under full load with a doubling of FPS in games.
