Hi guys im back, used to own a G73 and G74 before jumping ship to Alienware.

Well anyways, I just bought a G750 today. Decided to take the SSD out of my M17X and put it in the G750.
I remove the HDD that came along and screwed my SSD in. When into bios and set the boot priority to UEFI:Slimtype DVD , saved changes and exit. After the Windows is loading files screen im stuck at the "Starting Windows" screen with the 4 red green blue yellow squares and it just stays there indefinitely.

Is there any settings I need to do in the bios cos its driving me nuts lol. Thanks in advance

Sounds like your trying to use a BIOS/MBR Boot in a UEIF/GPT system. Here is a link to some upgrade notes and guides (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?28758-GUIDE-G55-G75-Upgrade-Notes&country=&status=)for the G75/55 should work fine for the G750 also

Also you'll need Win7 SP1 to install on a UEIF/GPT system, SP1 supports UEIF
