About a week ago, i reverted to windows 7 64 bit because 8 really bothered me. Now, i am overall very happy with the laptop but there is a qwerty problem. The back lighting function no longer works, but the backlit keys do light up at the splash screen. Also, the button to disable the touch pad doesn't work either. i know the problem has to do with windows 7 not recognizing the key board. are there any drivers/advice to make the keyboard work fully?... i have looked at other forums but there has been no response for a while now and no solution has been posted.

Instal ATK package from here and reboot. After reboot when in Windows you may have to press fn and f4 to turn on backlight

itlieswithin, I'm having that same problems with my W7 Untimate. The only thing iv found is odd enough is the fn key functions for screen brightness/dimming only workin the splash screen. Sandman007 thank you I will try those drivers after work. Im also having problems with my webcam and mic not working at all. They are unrecognized.

You need to download the 64 bit drivers from ASUS support website.
Those issues sound like drivers are not installed.

asus have not provide win 7 driver, so if you find outside driver, it can not recommand to use.
