Can someone take a look at this 3D Mark Vantage score (http://www.3dmark.com/3dmv/4767596) and tell if this is normal for my laptop. I have a XT1 model. I was looking at the processor clock and it says that it was 898 MHz, this seems lower than it should be to me. I am running Throttlestop and I am oc'ing my GPU at 900/1800/1625.

Looks like your "basic" system score is 2512. I didn't use Vantage to run my benchmarks when I did my system, but assuming the basic system scores translate evenly across, it looks like something is gobbling up your system resources. Here's a thread I posted a while ago and made a few updates to, showing what I did for different tests and what the system score for each one was: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?28184-G74Sx-3DMark-findings.

Have you reformatted and reinstalled Windows since buying the laptop? Also, what model does it say your processor is?

that's the speed in energy saving mode..

If you didn't stress the CPU, then 898 MHz is possible. That sounds like the idle speed (or one speed bin above that). Also, I assume that you didn't run the test on battery. Also, make sure that it is posting the CPU speed for the active cores, since the idle cores will report their speed as the lowest speed bin, even when they aren't being used, and the other cores are being turboboosted to a higher speed.

My laptop is plugged it when the tests are running. The last time I did a clean install of windows on my laptop was about 2 months ago. My latpop has an i7 2630QM processor.

Sounds like you should be able to not throttle. I assume you aren't on Battery Saver power profiles?

Good. I would try one of the CPU-based benchmarks and post the results. Try something mentioned on notebookcheck.net. Compare with results shown here:
