Hi all!

I got my G55 about a year ago and all has been fine until about 2-3 months ago. Whenever i'm not plugged in (on battery), the laptop would just shut off by itself as if the power supply was out. This does not happen instantaneously as I remove the charger, it runs for a while and then shuts off. However, this does not happen very frequently. I've experienced this a few times only.
I'm worried about this because when the battery fails on the spot, the laptop just turns off and it may damage the HDD in the long term (so I was told). And also if i'm outside and my work isn't saved.

Any help/advice would be appreciated! I suspect this to be a hardware issue but has anyone solved/encountered this before?

Many Thanks!!!

Hi, whenever i'm not plugged in as in when I'm running the g55 on the battery instead of the charger. In other words, the charger is out and only the battery is doing the work.
