I literally got this notebook a week ago.
bought a protective sleeve within a hour of unboxing it.
Already the thin protective rubber coating on the top of the g75vx case has started to peel off around the corners (bezel).
I am obsessive about my laptops so it is driving me crazy.

Couple of Questions:
Where can I get the replacement top case (I only need the piece of plastic that has the chrome "ASUS" on the back)?
Does anyone know the official name of this part?
Does anyone have a solution from preventing the thin rubber coating from peeling off the case in the future.
I was thinking of buying two parts and maybe putting a rhino-line adhesive on the back of one of them.

I found this on google:
G75VX-1A TOP CASE SUB ASSY
Partnumber: 13GNLE1AP021-1
http://www.asusparts.eu/partfinder/Asus/Notebook/G%20Series/G75VX#Cover

This looks like what I am looking for but $60 for a back piece of plastic seems pretty high.

Maybe your finish is defective, I've had mine for over a year now and mine is not coming off anywhere?

Thanks,
I'm going to call in ASUS tech after work.

If you have only had it a few days you may be able to return it to the vendor for replacement or refund?
