hi

nvidia turbo mode is a safe method to overclock up to 15% when the gpu temperature is low enough it works on the 765, 770 or 780 gpu .

is the gpuboost2.0 "turbo mode" available on the g750 serie ? if so how to activate it if it is not activated by default ?
can the temperature threshold of gpuboost 2.0 also be adjusted in the g750 ?

("an optional Turbo mode can automatically overclock the Nvidia card by a theoretical 15 percent if the laptop cooling system allows it. The implementation of this boost mode is done in the BIOS, but it is ultimately dependent upon the manufacturer of the laptop")

thanks

There are 3 versions for G750 series. Each one has a different video card (765, 770, 780). They all have GPU boost and it activates on its own depending on the demands of the game you are playing. There is a thread about overclocking manually somewhere here, you can bring the boost up to 30% I think.

While the cooling system of the G-series would definitely make it possible for the graphics card to run Turbo Mode, I doubt that you can adjust the temperature thresholds for safety reasons. Since it is a temperature-dependent capability, being able to turn it off would risk overheating the components. If your system has adequate cooling, it will turbo almost constantly.

so gpu boost is always activated on all g750 models without the ability to change the temperature threshold that enables the "small" 15% oc ?

is there an asus pre installed software tool that let us check the gpu speed and temperature in real time ?

GPU-Z can do that for you, and so can pretty much any overclocking software.

you can get MSI afterburner for free from online. It will provide you with graphs and current info about your GPU temperature and clocking status. GPU-Z like it was mentioned is also pretty good, it gives you lots of info on the card, but it doesn't have the fancy graph thing so you can track card status. 15% OC is not really THAT small... though some few cards, you could achieve 30% (like the GTX460 - love it!)
