Hi guys,
I have an interesting problem with USB 3.0 (Fresco). I have 2 different Kingston Datatraveler drives, the brand is Kingston, yes same, but capacities are different, 512 MB and 8 GB and BOTH of are USB 2.0 drives.. The problem is, after i insert 8 GB Kingston to USB 3.0 port, it's mass storage driver was installed just fine and had a valid driver letter. Then i inserted 512 MB Kingston to the same USB 3.0 port, it's driver was installed as well. No prob so far.

The problem starts here, after each reboot, whenever i try to insert 512 MB Kingston to the same USB 3.0 port, the mass storage driver is being installed again and again on each insert after each reboot. There's glitch or misunderstanding that the USB 3.0 port have seemed to be allocated by the first-inserted 8 GB Kingston flash drive and works fine with it, but not 512 MB, it's constantly installing mass storage driver for it.

What the hell about it?

USBDevView from Nirsoft easily proves multiple device driver installations:

Any explanation on this is greatly appreciated!

2. disable USB3.0 item in BIOS if possible then try again,

Thanks for reply, BUT:
1) I don't have any USB+ charger utility, like stated in other thread :)
2) If i disable USB 3.0, i won't be able to use USB 3.0 ports, so it's not a solution. I just don't want my same-brand flash drive installed over and over on each time i insert it. Duplications are visible on the screenshot.

So, what can i do?

Any new ideas on that USB 3.0 problem?

Everytime i insert the drive, "found new hardware" is opened and driver is installed again and again, just for USB 3.0 controllers. ???

Download this registry fix which was sent to me by fresco logic tech support. double click to install (add to registry) and REBOOT. This is a power management feature that is malfunctioning and the registry add fixes it. I had tried EVERYTHING to fix this for months and this is the only thing that works. No need to use outdated drivers any more... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_8dnVBTREGMeEFVclZ1WUNpUVk/edit?usp=sharing ;)
