I seem to have horrible performance (20-30FPS) on low settings.

I ran bf3 on Ultra/High settings at 45-50 FPS.

Anyone else having this issue?

I did update my video card drivers. I have the G75 with GTX 660M.

I'm downloading it now, I'm @ 71%
You have to remember, this is still in BETA!
Will update when I test later
(latest nvidia drivers on the GTX-670M)

I've been playing it on my G75 (which is the same model as yours) with the settings on High/Ultra and I am getting 35-40 FPS. BF4 is also in beta and frame drops are expected, so over time your frame rate should increase because of bug fixes

Did you update to the latest driver. I am not getting an FPS around 35-40...

I mean yes it is expected, but did not realize it would be this bad.

Time will tell.

I've been playing bf4 on my g75, I think we have the same setup, 660m. Frame rate was nearly unplayable on high, med was better, still terrible and low was OK.

I updated the Nvidia drivers to the new beta ones they just put out. I set everything to low, turned off everything I could and at 1080p I could get above 40. I dropped it to 720p and made a change to vertical sync setting on the nvidia control panel (adaptive).

The get 48-62 now. The game plays well enough now but it's frustrating to have to turn every single option down.

Awesome. The fact we are both having the issue makes me feel better. Just gotta wait for a patch.

Have you guys seen a difference in the released version? I want to know before I throw 60 bucks at this amazing game.

Playing on Ultra/high only MSSA OFF and HBAO Effects to medium.

(overclocked GPU)

around 31-45 FPS (While the sky tower is down 30-38 fps)

I got this game down today, but I usualy only play any games when i get a constant 60 fps. graphic does not mean much to me, fluent gameplay is more important to me.
But Ill do some tests for you later today, once i get home from college.

So I tested from first mission, to the point just outside school where you get the binoculars.
ultra 9-20 fps avg was 14-18
high 24-40 avg was 25-28
med 37-46 avg was 39-41
so if you tweak one of the auto presets, it should be fine.
game felt fluentlike even on ultra at the avg fps.

I played BF4 for the first time today. I used the default auto settings, full screen on the G75's own display. I didn't measure FPS but the frame rate felt OK. My rig is a G75V with the 3610QM i7 and GTX660M, not overclocked.

*update* I now measured the FPS and it stayed between 35-50 most of the time.

I have the G75VX with GTX 670mx, 16 GBs ram, and a Core™ i7 3630QM. I've been outputting the video onto a 50 inch Sony tv on ultra settings and still getting fluent gameplay online with 64 players. I cant say the fps since MSI Afterburner is not showing any on screen display icons in game and I don't have any other way of showing fps.

I'm playing on High settings on 1080P and getting 30-35 FPS on my G55VW

Is it playable? I mean with 30-35FPS do you notice any lag?

I get 30-35 on Ultra settings on the G75VW, and some people seem to think theres some huge difference between 30 and 60 but I see none. Atleast not significantly. I know when a game lags cause my computer can't handle it, but I have not experienced that with 30 fps. And I lower the settings and get 100 I think it was, or close to it I didn't notice a bit of difference except the game was uglier.

I am currently playing Battlefield 4 on my G75VW with full resolution and Ultra settings and it's been absolutely seamless. No framerate loss, no video lagging and mind you, I'm on the campaign portion of the game and haven't tried multiplayer yet but so far, it's been a glorious time. One key note the driver update made go from absolutely unplayable to seamless. The driver update was version 331.65. You MUST update to this version in order to play this with any remote playabilty.

No lag, 30FPS is perfectly acceptable, all current gen consoles run on 30FPS and movies run on 24FPS. You won't have any issues.

I'm about 28 fps currently and that is on multiplayer as well. The game is beautiful with all the eye candy cranked up. One note, the laptop gets hot as hell where the fans are so make sure it's ventilated wel. ;)
