Hi all,

I have the Asus G53JW-a1, and my video card is dying. It is out of warranty, and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to replace the motherboard, video card, and cpu with one of the more recent versions, ex. G53SX-A1. It uses the same body, it looks like, but I wonder if I could upgrade it in the process of repairing it.

Also, in the image I've seen while looking up motherboards, it looked like there was an empty socket more a cpu, I was under the impression that the cpu and gpu were soldered onto the motherboard itself, am I wrong? Thanks in advance

Cheers,
- Jeff

i think you will find the 3th parts repair center to repair or upgrade, if you send to asus service center, i think it can not do you want.
