This model to be exact ROG G750JW-RB71. Should I be aware of anything? I'm coming from a 4-5 year old sony vaio 16.4 inch and while that was heavy(about 6.5 lbs) I didn't mind as I occasionally would watch movies while on my lap. Will this ROG model's weight be ok to watch movies on lap or do you cramp up from weight? :0

Also, I have a recently upgraded 512gb ssd in my sony vaio. I believe in this model of ROG it has a free hdd bay. Is there a way I could just throw my 512gb ssd with windows 7 on it and somehow dual boot? Please say there is an easy way with asus rog? :)

the weight is fine. dual booting is possible, but don't expect to be able to just run the same windows installation you were using on your vaio.

Drivers, drivers, drivers - lol.
I think what Flea is saying is that you'll have to fdisk and reinstall Win7 on the SSD after you've installed the disk to the new laptop. Also, I think it's easier to add a second disk to the G75's than it is in the G55's.

you should have no problems with the weight, yeah the laptop has extra bay you may need to reinstall win7 on the disk tho
