G74Sx Clean Install Woes

Hi,

I purchased a G74Sx the other day, which I received this morning. I've been trying to put a clean install of Windows 8 Pro on it, but I keep getting a "missing media files" error. I've tried with a Windows 7 Pro install too, with the same outcome. Trying to supply the drivers makes no difference either.

Has anybody else had this problem? If so how was it resolved?

What kind of media are you using for the install? While I have never had that particular problem I've found that using these steps AND media reduces install time and problems. The tutorial I've linked to below has step by step instructions and a link to the official Windows iso download site. All you need is your activation code.

please check your mdeia file is download/make complete. if can, please try install to other computer.
