Downgrading the previous driver

For the last couple of releases from Nvidia, I have seen a few people with problems like this, but I haven't had any issues, both the 331.40 and the new 331.58 have been stable for me for all uses.

Are you guys doing clean installs? When the installer comes up, select Custom install, and then check Clean Install - it may reboot in between uninstalling and re-installing the drivers - if not, go ahead and reboot anyway.

That might help give you a better experience when installing Nvidia drivers. I have been stable on all the Nvidia releases with the same hardware and OS as the rest of you.

1. uninstall old driver
2. reboot in Safe Mode
3. use Driver Sweeper to clean up all Nvidia registry leftovers
4. reboot back to Windows
5. install new driver, make sure to choose "Clean Install" option (check hmscott's post above)

That's the beauty of the nVIDIA drivers provided by ASUs, while they may be older, they are at least stable. I don't want no surprises in my system for a few more FPS

If you are a gamer - there is no beauty in Asus drivers:cool:

Hi, same problem here. The new driver version cause a delay in the boot up time. Downgrade to 327.23 and no more problems. Can someone say why this happens?

Since I updated it yesterday, I had some freezing moments while using it during a seminar this morning (on PowerPoint presenter mode). I didn't have this issue last Friday. I did do a custom clean install on this. I am not sure if this is in any way related to the slower startup times.

I provided clean installation. Are you have 2D or 3D display on your G750JX?

Hey there, in relation to your "mini freezes" all you have to do is simply uninstall all the extras you don't need from the Nvidia package. I did that and my mini freezes vanished :)

2D with 100Hz refresh rate, so it makes it 2.5D:)

Check this guy's explanation on how important that is to have higher Hz when you gaming

it's about mouse settings, but there is a part were he talks about displays at the end.

Ive gotten black screens on the following games:

dota 2
Civ 5

Does this mean I need to downgrade or is it something to do with a Windows 8 problem?

Edit: Downgrading the 327 fixed the problems

I've had exactly zero problems since doing a clean install for the new driver. I've played ...

AOE 2 HD
DS Human Revolution (max settings)
AOE 3

And maybe one more.
