Basically, my 'p' key has collapsed at the bottom and is very noticeable when typing and also means that the backlighting on they key no longer works properly as it doesn't show any light through the bottom of the key. The '[' key is also raised on the right hand side, which is more annoying still.

Is this covered on warranty? It's really annoying me now as it really is noticed when I type, and I use the computer a lot for my work >.<

Or am I likely to be fobbed off saying I've damaged it? Despite the fact it's treated very carefully.

Thanks.

Your warranty should also have accidental damage, so give them a call. My guess is you are covered

I'm assuming you registered your laptop with Asus (if not , do so https://account.asus.com/loginform.aspx?skey=ad8765ff5ff140ae95467085825f5e 10) , so you can even log in and review the warranty.

so you mean when you type "p" key, it can not show and no backlight? can you do the clean kb first, if not help, i think you will replace kb.
