Again I have the black screen problem as reported before with the nvidia 320 WHQL Drivers, but this time with 331.58 WHQL. By contrast the 327.23 WHQL does not Show this behaviour, so it is clearly not related to defective hardware.

Can anyone verify this please?

@ASUS: Any suggestions?

Thx

My G75VW (GTX660M) still running smooth after driver update to 331.58, wait for other G75VX user comment for it has different GPU.

I have a G750JX with a GeForce 770M GTX, I was on the ASUS/nVIDIA Driver 9.18.13.1193 and everything was perfect.

I installed the latest 331.58 from nVIDIA and ensured to tock the "Clean Install" checkbox upon installation, the laptop was working fine but after I rebooted, the computer wouldn't even boot and gives me a black screen, after a few failed attempts, Windows 8 started the recovery options.

that is why I was hesistant to install nVIDIA's buggy drivers and always stick to ASUS

Now speaking with Nvidia support. :) Yes, I'm lazy and copy past message.

Thx 4 your replies guys! Good to know that it is obviously a bug and not a hardware fault. So I guess it is best to speak with nvidia support then... lets hope for better drivers in the future.

Strange what happened to them... I remember times when I did not even think of problems when installing nvidia drivers and now I'm hesitating in fear, every time I download a new one. The're wasting ressoures on unimportant stuff like nvidia experience and nvidia shield, when the essential stuff should be fixed.

So NVIDIA advice me temporary solution. Need to disable Secure Boot and Enable CSM in BIOS. And waiting for fix.
