I have installed windows 7 because windows 8 is a pile of poo but I cannot seem to get MaxxAudio installed on my JW, I have tried everything. Tried about 10 different drivers and I never get the software installed which I want. Anyone know the fix for this?

Have a look at this thread - Version 6.0.1.7040 worked for me.

Search your C drive for - rtkhdaud.dat – if it’s there delete it and reinstall the link above.

download straight from realtek.com and install that. That carries the software and it works. Only bad thing is it doesn't have the ROG skin. Why did you go Win7? Win8 = Win7 + Metro (which you can control with Classic Shell). Memory control is the same on Win7 and Win8 as well. No games have been shown to have a significant increase/decrease in performance.
