If you're certain you downloaded and installed the correct driver, then it could be an issue with the driver for 8.1. There have been quite a few 8.1 driver-related issues popping up that are still being sorted through. :(

İ had the same problem with my 750JH. İ tried everything but cant solve. İ updated drivers still nope. İ used win8 no solıution. i figured out ASUS live update doesnt work properly cuz when i visit asus wifi card driver page it was my wifi card outdated and ASUS live update says up to date. And i updated new drivers from ASUS site but cant solve the drop connection problem. İ sent the machine to the guarantee to get a new machine . İ reseatched qualcomm killer card and i must say a lot of ppl have this connection problem. Donno what will have to do.
****en qualcom did a **** job with killer cards.

There's a pop-up asking if I wanted to upgrade to Windows 8.1. Is it worth it? It doesn't sound like it's worth the hassle...

Last night I went into device manager to check some things and I clicked "Update driver" on my Broadcom AC adapter and WIndows found new a new one. Afterwards my 802.11 AC started working again and my connection is much more stable.
Might want to try ? If you have the G750JX that is.
