I've had this laptop since February. I have not had any issues until recently. The only 2 games I have played on here is CoD Black Ops and Eve Online, but I haven't played either one in the last couple months. Now the last few weeks, I've noticed the right side of my keyboard is very warm, so I checked temps. Gpu is is ~70. I remember checking them back several months ago. Idle temp was ~50c.

I blew out the keyboard and vacuumed it. Nothing came out of consequence. I do not see anything running in the background that would cause this heat issue. The fan is running and if I load Eve, it does speed up. All drivers are up to date.

Any ideas on what is causing this?

Thank You

Well, I'm not to much hotter at idle. Still, think I'm going to remove all nvidia drivers and re-install. This is probably not the cause, but there have been a few updates the last 6 months. I am also looking at some of the running services like ntune- which I did have installed some time back, but I removed it? Not sure why this is showing up.

Anyway, I'm going to keep digging. Thanks!
