View Full Version : Asus Performance

So I have just bought Asus 17.3'' G750JX-T4122D, FHD, Intel® Core™ i7-4700HQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz) Haswell, 8GB, 750GB + 8GB SSH, GeForce GTX 770M 3GB, Black".

I would like to know why does it still goes like glitchy and still lags when I play other games on ultra(with like antialiasing off and vsync off in game) such as Battlefield 4 and doesn't go smoothly. When I put it on High it goes pretty well but not as good as expected.
I mean GTX 770M is a really good video card but I don't know why does it still lags.
Or is it suppose to be like this?(I don't really think so).
Any settings recommendations for the graphics card properties or so? Or any other suggestions?
I really would like to know because I paid 1700$ for it and I was expecting to get everything moving smoothly at this price.
Thank you very much.

Kind Regards,

Yeah, there's a new driver update that solved my minor lags. It doesn't hurt to use the Asus GPU Tweak app either...

What is ASUS GPU Tweak app for? Does it help in performance? And what driver to install? Could you please link it? (I have the latest Nvidia GeForce 770 GTX Driver btw)
Thank you very much.

Have a nice day,

It's to overclock your gpu. I use it everytime I play BF4 and I have the gtx 765m and I can play most settings on high with a couple on ultra and get 40+fps. There is a thread on like the second page that shows the best settings for overclocking

I think you are expecting a little too much out of the 770m, it is after all a mobile card and only equivalent to the desktop Geforce 570 if I remember correctly. Don't get me wrong, the 750JX is a great unit (it's what I have) but you can't expect to just run game on ultra without lags in heavy gpu usage areas.

I myself run BF4 with ultra textures, and a mix of Ultra/High/Med settings for the rest and stay a solid 60+fps in 64 player games.
