hi new to the forum, good to be here

i have the asus g750jw-t5043h, even though ive got vertical lines on the screen i can tolerate that for now, my main problem is the screen dims after about 20 seconds after booting up , ive turned off ambient dimming and tinkered with power management settings and still havent had any results, this problem persists on battery power and even when plugged in, can anyone shed any light on this issue please?

The only way to get rid of the auto-dimming is to uninstall Power4gear, I think.

You see the "vertical lines" too... welcome in the "club" , Jeddak :).....

lol john carter...from earth

thanks for the help, ive not uninstalled yet i went into the nvidia control panel and set it to control the brightness of the entire computer, these settings didnt seem to stick until i downloaded the latest nvidia asus driver though, which i found on these forums, at least for now the dimming seems to have gone away

Ok, good to know. I still use the "official" Asus 311.83 (for JH and Geforce 780M)
