Hi all... I searched a bit if there were a similar discussion of this problem, but I didn't saw anything... I hope to be in the right place to post.

Anyway, I have a problem with my Asus ROG: sometimes, when I turn on my computer, it begins to work and, right after the charging screen, the screen becomes black and it takes 3 or more minutes to go to the windows log-in page. Someone know why?

I tried to upgrade the software of the computer (graphic card, BIOS), but still there is this problem.

It doesn't happen always, but a lot of time there's the start up that is very slow...

If you updated to Windows 8.1, then the older drivers are ont all compatible with Windows 8.1 so you needed to update them

If you updated to non official ASUS drivers such as the nVIDIA driver directly from nVIDIA, that makes the problem even worse especially if you have the 3D laptop like I do

only update from ASUS official drivers

get them from this page they work the same for all G750 laptops:

I upgraded them in an official Asus site, to be more precise I went there

http://www.asus.com/it/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_ROG_G750JX/#support

And also, the only upgrade that I didn't downloaded from there were downloaded by the GeForce Experience program.

So, I don't understand again why there is this problem...

The Windows 8.1 Drivers for the ASUS G750JX have not been fully updated yet.

But it's ok, the G750JW has similar hardware so its drivers will work fine on your G750JX

Get them here: http://www.asus.com/us/support/Download/3/521/G750JW/41/

Make sure you uninstall the older drivers first, then restart, then install the new ones then restart

Try turning off Bluetooth when shutting down/restarting to see if that fixes the issue. Or uninstall your graphics driver using DDU in safe mode then reinstall the latest from the ASUS site.
