I have had the G750JX for a couple of weeks now. On my Taskbar, I have this. It came with the OS.

I don't like installing stuff when I don't know what it is. I know it probably isn't harmful in any way. It just might not be useful.

Ok so what does it install?

It's really like the autorun for a driver disk that is copied to your hard drive, but the latest versions are posted on the ASUS download site for your model, so you may just want to ignore it or remove the shortcut.

Below is a screenshot from my G750JW after running the ASUS Installation Wizard.

For anybody that's interested more (too much?) information is below.

1. If using the original ASUS factory image, check your C: drive for the eSupport and eDriver folder as in the screenshot to find a copy of the 'driver DVD' although most drivers should already be installed and will not be the latest versions, so check the ASUS download site for newer versions if necessary.
There are some things like Power2Go that aren't available on the ASUS download site though.

2. Check the filelist.txt file under the eDriver folder to see the versions and a very short decription of each.

3. For some reason the ASUS Installation Wizard seems to be asking to install older versions of the wireless and LAN drivers in that screenshot, so something that may need to be checked first.
My system has been upgraded to Win8.1 though and does not appear to be using the ASUS approved wireless and LAN drivers versions posted on the ASUS download site, so this might be related.

4. Right click the ASUS Installation Wizard icon on the taskbar if you want to unpin it from the taskbar and browse to the eSupport/eDriver folder to right click the AsInsWiz.exe (short for ASUS Installation Wizard) if you want to pin it back to the taskbar.

Esth76, simple run the Backtracker Restore media you created when you first got your notebook!
Didn't make one?
http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/18309-windows-8-windows-8-1-iso-download-create.html?ltr=W, you will need to download all your drivers from Asus support Download (http://support.asus.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1)

If you need help with a clean install see this thread (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?28758-GUIDE-G55-G75-Upgrade-Notes&country=&status=) its in the G75 55 46 forum but the same principle apply to your G750

I could be wrong but I don't believe that Asus sells a recovery disk for windows 8, If this have changed you would purchase it a Asus Store (http://us.estore.asus.com/index.php?l=search_list&s[match]=all&s[search]=Recovery&s[title]=Y&s[short_desc]=Y&s[full_desc]=Y&s[cid]=0&s[subcats]=Y&s[mid]=0&s[sku]=&s[price_from]=&s[price_to]=&s[weight_from]=&s[weight_to]=)

Since you lost your recovery partition you will not be able to recreate it from a clean install. But I would suggest you create some images so that you will have restore media next time you run into trouble. windows may have a built in back up and Image built in? I don't know since I use reliable specific back up software.

@Clintlgm,
tnx for the tips bro, but what I really need is just fully functional application AsInsWiz.exe from eSupport folder, for Windows 8.1, nothing else. I dont know what size is it? Can someone upload it for me?
