Greetings Modders, and ROG's,

I have a nVidia black and lime green case made by cooler master. It looks just like this currently:

http://benchmarkreviews.com/images/reviews/cases/Cooler_Master_CM690/cm690_nvidia_angle_right.jpg

As I have mentioned in another thread I am going to build a new case, but before I do, I thought Id cut my teeth on something a bit easier and mod this case a little.. simple stuff I am sure many of you would laugh at. Like new paint, some lights and other simple stuff like that.

Why is this titled Geforce Lan inspired, if you look at the banner posted here for the event, it is purple and green. So I am going to attempt to make my case refelct that image with purple and green paint and lights.

LIGHTS:

I was thinking of using these:

Or maybe trying these;

The case came with green LED fans.. so that is covered, but I may switch them out for these;

Or maybe these;

As for the paint.. I have;

INSIDE:

So there ya have it, what do you all think?

Since I have a new system due here soon, I will be giving this one to my youngest son.

Doing proper paint is certainly nothing to laugh at and you can really tell when someone has taken the time to do it right. Water cooling and dremel work are actually pretty easy compared to paint :)

I have used that case for a past system build and it really shows the NVIDIA spirit!

X is right. Painting is more work than a dremel. It requires a lot of prep for paint to look good versus just having a steady hand. Looking forward to finished pics. Are you going to GeForce with it?? If so I'll see u there and hopefully I'll have my new build there also. I think I'll call it WidowMaker. :)

No I really wish I could make it out to GEFORCE LAN, but My Mini-Mester ( College ) classes start on the 17th of OCT.. Since I don't fly, I would drive, not a big deal as I like to drive, drove to PAX and back. But that would be a rough first day of school after an 18 hour drive.

I did a hammer finish on the case first to cover some dings and scratches from its PAX trip. Well that is after a light sanding. then after the hammer finish I did the color changing deal, painted the inside of the case purple. and did the parts under the mesh purple. I think it looks good so far.. it got a little scratch when the side panels went on and the drives being inserted.. but ahh well. I am waiting for the light bars to show up.. I just got the purple ones, and let the green light come from the fans. Pictures coming soon.

I will get some photos of the inside soon... I'll also post new pictures when my light bars get here and my 2 new fans.

Its an old Msi Motherboard, very small but it does the job. My Kid will like it. All the wires are wrapped in Purple tubing, but I still need to clean up the inside a bit.
