Hey All,

Newbie here, but I have been experimenting a bit with my new G750JW, I have managed to overclock the CPU no issues at all, and been playing with the GPU a bit too, I have it running stable at stock voltage,

997/6308 and getting about 107fps on Cinebench.
Managed to get about 30-37fps on BF4 Ultra Settings, Temps seem to be about 69C after 15mins of play.

Was just wondering if I should go higher? has anybody got anything higher than that to be stable on the 765?

Thanks in Advance.

Hey Deedscali,

I have the same card and i can only go 6088 highest on the mem..if i go any higher i get artifacts or driver crashes. You can try but 6308 is the highest mem i've ever seen on a 765m id gladly take it if i could even get up to 6200 lol

Ahhh Cool. I thought I was maybe leaving a little bit of head way with my setting, seems stable at 6308 no issues so far, guess every card is differnt :)

Definitely! I think you may even be holding a record for the highest mem for 765m right now. 6308 is pretty high. lucky you lucky :)

If you are stable at the speed for benchmarking, gaming, etc then that is about as high as I have seen :)

I was able to benchmark at 6300-6350, but was completely stable at 6288:

33657

You can go higher, until the Nvidia driver crashes - usually around the same range as you start seeing screen sparklies / lines / etc - and then you need to reboot to get full speed from the Nvidia driver again.

AFAIK, noone has put the speed so high as to actually damage the graphics card GPU/Memory - anyone else see a permanent effect / damage from OC'ing using the Asus GPU Tweak Tool?

Seems like our memory clocks are pretty impressive then, what kind of bench marking results are you getting at 6288?

On 997/6308 I am getting P5074 on 3DMark 11 which is higher than a stock 770 lol

33658 This is the Most stable for me, after playing BF4 for a while 6308 sent the temps up way way high

990 MHz Clock
887 mV
6096 Hmz Memory Clock

Higher memory clock didn't help frames much IMO but was pretty stable. I don't see the point in going higher and yet to see it go over 71degf in any game.

Have a play to see if you're getting better frames or just making heat, I'm interested to hear your results.
Can you link your 3D Mark score?

DeesdsCali, I had my G750JW on release, so my results are old and while high scores at the time they used old (new at the time) drivers; you should be able to get better results with new drivers:

ok so after hours of testing and bench marking today, the cut off for me appears to be 6310 for memory clock, if i set it any higher the temps go uncomfortably high when playing demanding games, like BF4 and Saints 4. So I am sitting at 6310 stable at present. I will post 3Dmark and screenshots shortly, so you can get an idea of the performance results, I can confirm I hit 110.4FPS on Cinebench with these settings which is the highest I have gotten on this machine, and a long way from the 60s you get at stock!

Bit of an off topic, newbie question;

What did you use to overclock the CPU?

It's nice to see the Nvidia driver updates since July 2013 give real performance improvements :)

Asus GPU Tweak, and the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, both the CPU and GPU can be overlocked in the G750, Have Fun!

For the G750 these are the two I use:

Asus GPU Tweak Tool - current version for Windows 8.1 x64 v2.5.4.2
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?m=GPU+Tweak

And, for CPU tuning - Intel Extreme Tuning Utility - XTU, allows enabling highest ratio for CPU/cache and ability to lower voltages to reduce heat:

Intel XTU Home:

Intel XTU downloads - latest version - 4.3.0.11
