View Full Version : G750JW BSOD after installing Kingston ValueRAM, Asus support says "not compatible"

2 x 4GB DDR3L 1600MHz, SO DIMM, CL11, 1.35V
According to the support person I'm supposed to buy:
Hynix HMT451S6AFR8A-PB 4GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600MHz non-ECC Unbuffered CL11 204-Pin SoDimm 1.35V
memory. I don't think there is a shop in my country (Finland) that sells that, and it seems to be rather expensive in the net too.

Do Crusial or Corsair memories work with this laptop?

Crucial memory will work, bought a 8GB stick to max out my G750JH. Have a look at the link below.

They are matching pairs, one pair of the original Hynix and one pair Kingston. I had no idea what the original memory was, since to look at it would have required to dismantle the laptop basically. I dont get why the Kingston wont work since it seems identical to the original ones?
