View Full Version : G74sx-bbk7 Wireless hardware problem.

I've got a G74sx-bbk7, with a intel wireless-n 6150.

My wireless card seemed to die on me suddenly, and I was wondering if any one had any input if it was the card itself that died, or if the antennae have gone bad. The laptop will see networks, but they keep disappearing, and when I try to connect to one, it always fails with a generic cannot connect error. I know I also took my computer apart a few times, and at some point I accidentally swapped the black and white wires to the card for at least a month before I realized I had done so.

Using different a different driver has no effect, and using a usb wireless card works fine, though annoying. So my question is if I should be looking to replace the card itself, which is pretty cheap, or the antennae, which I'll have to look up how to do.

Thanks to anyone that responds.

Well, I ended up getting a new card, upgrading to a advanced-n 6250, and that fixed it, so it was hardware.
