Installed it, didn't suffer any changes in my other games. Infact they boosted up aswell, (Crysis 2, HoN)

Again? Wow...I used to get P1987 on my G73sw. When the 285.27 Beta came out I get P2048 on 3D Mark 11 (turned my G73sw to a G74sx hahahaha). Now with 285.38 we get more Umph!

Notes didn't say so, but I can run Crysis 2 with DX11 & high text now in High at 1024, before it was a struggle with dx 11 and high textures

I'm not 100% positive, but I think nVidia updated the nvam.inf to include the G74SX's (560M cards) on this one.

Ugh, I see that I still have to wait till someone hacks up a version to use with my 460m, kind of a pain in the arse.

Did you try to install these?

Yes, it still gives me the spiel of having no recognizable hardware

Wow! This set recognizes 8 varieties of 460m. I'm surprised.

Sometimes I think my G53-Sw is retarded.

Go to LapTopvideo2Go (http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/) . They have the same one Chastity had. I think her server is down or something.

Wait a minute... the link up top is fine; the megaupload one

I just got my G53SW-XN1 from newegg and tried both notebook drivers 285.27 & 285.38 with no luck. I have GTX460M 1.5GB installed. I keep getting the same message " could not find compatible graphics hardware ". I know this is beta but sheesh. The beta driver 285.38 installed on my desktop with a GTX460 1 GB . Yes I know I am comparing apples & oranges. Any Ideas ???

I've had one little hiccup with the new drivers on my g74sx but nothing serious (screen flickered for a few seconds, then message that the driver crashed and recovered). Haven't gotten around to testing the performance yet.

UPDATE** Seems I can play BF3 with the current driver but it is unstable. I still get a message in game that I need to install the beta driver but it lets me play anyway. buggy, buggy game.

That's because Asus and I think other notebook manufacturers give the display adapters their own device ID's. That's the reason we usually have to use drivers with modded install scripts.

I think I know what needs to be added, so I'm going to try to mod these to install on my G74sx.

EDIT: well, this one installed for me without doing any mods. Wonders never cease! :D

It's hard to say for sure whether it's due to the beta drivers since I didn't rigorously test it, but I do get about 80 more 3dMark2011 points (P2289 vs ~P2200) now.

That's good. Hopefully it'll carry over into your games, too.

I don't know why, but sometimes nvidia beta drivers are faster than the whql ones. It's been like that for many years.....
