I own a G75vw from December 2012 (so about an year and 3 months). I've bought it brand new with warranty. Today I've checked my SSD s.m.a.r.t. data and here is what I get: http://1drv.ms/1dG1QxO
22493 Power On hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....that's over over two and a half years....my HDD has only around 4000 power on hours. So the question is: did Asus provide me with a refurbished SSD or/and notebook? Because at over $2,000, I expected it to be brand new.
By the way, the SSD is a LiteON LAT-256m3s
UPDATE: just found out that the release date of this model of SSD is 07 Jul 2012 ....so less than 2 years ago ...I suspect a S.M.A.R.T. counting error. Could this affect the drive's performance in any way? Is there a reason to RMA it?
