I just bought a Asus G73SW-XT1 from tigerdirect and was thinking about upgrading the memory inside to a faster speed. Anyone know what is the fastest memory i can put in this laptop? Also any recommendations for a hybrid hard drive?

I was looking on crucial.com and it showed i could take DDR3 PC3-10600 1333MHz or DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz. Anyone know if this is true and if so does the DDR3-12800 run alot faster?

you really don't need to get faster RAM. If you are thinking better CPU overclocking the Sandy Bridge is an entire new ball game and you will see little if anything from overclocking the memory.

I was thinking about replacing my ram with DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz. Anyone know how much of a percent increase this would give me? I will also do a solid state for my primary to run the OS. The memory i am thinking about using is linked below.

Go to http://www.anandtech.com and look at their memory comparison. I found it interesting that you wont gain that much speed by putting faster more expensive memory in your notebook. Also take in mind the limitations of your notebook, like the bus, proc, etc. Your machine might not be designed to handle the faster memory.
