Today I went to go play wow, and it said my drivers are out of date so I went and found the most recent driver update from nvidia, 335.23.

I downloaded it, ran the setup and it failed, while WoW was running in the background. My CPU usage jumped to 99% and the fan kicked on it's highest i've ever heard it. Although after I closed the app, it went right back down to where it is usually.

I have screenshots of what is says failed below, so If you can help me i'd greatly appreciate it. I don't know much about graphics drivers as this is my first high end gaming laptop/computer.

I had a similar issue and had to install the drivers manually. I read somewhere else that they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix.

Thanks for such a quick reply, and all i have to do is just download and install all the drivers manually?

That is what I did and it worked fine. I'm assuming you tried via the Nvidia GeForce Experience and that is what failed. If that is the case, then yes, just download the drivers from Asus website and install the drivers that way.

I had just downloaded the 335.23 off the Nvidia website, and ran the installation. Is that a problem? Could you link me where I find the drivers on the Asus website?

This is the link to the drivers. I would also make sure your updated to Windows 8.1 if you are running Windows 8.

Sorry, my last post didn't go through I guess.

You downloaded the correct driver. The one on the Asus website looks like it is outdated. Make sure you don't have WoW or anything else running when you update the drivers. Restart your computer beforehand too, just incase anything may be running that is using your graphics card. Also, like I said in my previous post, you may want to update to Windows 8.1 before you do anything else. If you need help with that, let me know.

Don't install the V9.18.13.2683 one, because it is outdated. Install the 335.23 one. Basically what you want to do is download the driver and unpack it to your desktop or whatever and run the install from there. Don't have WoW or anything running at the time either, so a fresh re-start would be best.

I'm pretty sure it's all fixed now

Thankyou, i'll keep you posted.
