I recently purchased the G74SX-BBK8 from someone and he did the system restore. The keyboard backlight doesn't work when hitting the Fn+F4. The keyboard lights DO come on when the system starts up. I haven't updated anything but windows 7. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums!

It's a good sign for your hardware at least if the keyboard lights flash when you power on the system.

Make sure the ATKACPI driver has been installed from the ASUS G74Sx download site which can be found under the 'utilities' section (search by your G74Sx model):

Good luck!

One more quick question, I have a GE 98529 mouse. When I turn the scroll wheel 1 click, the mouse disconnects. Turn it back 1 click, and it reconnects. It's a plug n play mouse without a installation disk. It installs great when plugged in. I read that I could try updating the USB and motherboard drivers. How do I install the drivers once I download them?
