As the title says. Does upgrading both RAM and the HDD to a SSD void the warranty? I ask because on the G56JR there isn't any screws exposed or hidden under any "User Friendly" rubber pads whereas the G750 has a rubber pad which you can open to expose the screw. It sorta gives the impression that Asus doesn't want you to dig around inside. Thanks guys.

There is a front flap that's removable that allows access to the single HDD bay and two DIMM slots.

Nope, it's a screw hidden under a supposedly rubber stopper or something. I'll post a pic in a bit.

Pop off the stopper and unscrew it :)

So it won't void the 2 year warranty or anything? Anyway, here's the pics.

Also, I just got my laptop HDD replaced so I just wanted to confirm that swapping out the HDD with an SSD and upgrading the RAM will not affect my warranty status. Also what if something other than the swapped out parts fail? Do I have to put back the old parts before claiming warranty?

It wont void your warranty as long as you dont remove a sticker somewhere where it states "warranty void if removed". I upgraded my Ram and storage in a G74 and sent it in for warranty after that. They ask you to actually remove your drives before sending it in for warranty if you dont want to lose your data.

Maybe taking it apart further possibly yes, just the back cover, no.

Hang on, so I can disassemble the laptop down to the Processor Heat Armor ( on the motherboard) and still be covered with my 4 year Warranty? Cleaning fans is 100% okay?

Because the sticker is on the CPU screw..
