View Full Version : Got a clicking key on the keyboard, would like to fix.

Hey guys,

Recently my F key has been making loud clicking noises whenever I hit and let go of it. It doesn't stick down or anything, it releases by itself, but the clicking has started to drive me crazy and because of whatever's making the clicking, it's making it hard for me to type words with a double F, like "off".

Just looking to see if there's a way to fix it, I've not spilled anything onto the keyboard to cause this afaik, and I can't seem to find any proper information on cleaning the keyboard.

Any advice?

Alright, wanna add on now that the key is indeed sticking.

Got stuck while I was playing a game where the main interaction key was F.

Decided to try and pry the key off anyways... It's not dirty under the key but I tried to clean it anyways and the issue persists.

ebay has a couple of dealers offering Asus keyboard replacement keys, you might check with them for your G750

There are others, here is the search on ebay:

same problem here but my problem is with 'W'.
It got a clicking sound and sometimes stuck.

I think the problem is the rubber dome, not the container nor the key cap.
Any idea how to fix this problem?
