Hi guys. I own an Asus G75VW-BBK5 notebook. When i bought it, Windows had a lot of bloatware, so i just reinstalled it (removing also recovery partition). So i remember that originally windows had an application that switched desktop/start menu to gaming mode/music mode/movie mode(in music mode,i remember desktop background changed to a music player) something like that and i can't find it on support.asus.com. Anybody knows the name of that application? Or where can i find it? I already searched google and other sites with no result. I would really appreciate if someone could help me. ;)

I don't remember what i did with the disk, but i searched online for G75VW recovery dvd,and it had some of utilities, but not this one.

it might be the ASUS Splendid Video Enhancement Technology (http://support.asus.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1)
I dumped all that bloat right away after getting my notebook so I don't remember anything like you describe.

Nope, i know what ASUS Splendid can do... This app changed my start menu button(i had windows 7 back then), and with a right click there was a round menu to select which desktop mode you want to use. The most useful was that in music mode, desktop background had literally music buttons to control music, game mode was something like a task manager(not sure,it was a long time ago)...

I think what you are looking for is called "Rotation Desktop G_Series"
That should be on the driver disk that came with your Laptop.

PS:IMHO it's just "eye candy" and not worth it, but if you like more power to ya!
