I'm planning on buying a desktop computer (The Asus Essentio) that I can upgrade in the future. I currently own and use an Asus G51vx, that's a gaming laptop and I want to see how you think these stack up against each other. The reason that I want to upgrade to a desktop is because when I decided to buy this laptop I got a really good graphics card at the time, still is, but the processor is now outdated. I have cooling issues already so I don't want to risk upgrading the processor in my laptop. The main thing I'm worried about is the graphics card not being as good as the one I have, so if its as good or better, please tell me, Thank you in advance!

Here's a link for both:

Meh, the GT 530 sounds to be a pretty low-end card. The rest of the PC looks decent and that's a good price, the good thing is you can upgrade the video card without much hassle since it's got a PCIe x16 slot.

What will your primary use be for the desktop? If you're not set on a desktop you may want to consider the G53, newegg has a great deal right now on the G53SW-XN1 model. If you do go with this Essentio I would consider getting a new GPU, perhaps a fermi card from Nvidia's GTX family.
