Multiple recovery partitions

Hi,

Can someone please explain why there are multiple recovery partitions under the primary disk? Of course Win 8 came
pre-installed from the factory with the G75 but not sure why multiple recovery partitions are necessary.
One of the recovery partitions is 20GB.

UEFI has there own system of partitioning. Then when you updated to 8.1 another window recovery partition was created most likely rendering your original useless. Hope you can get your hands on a 8.1 ISO or made a backtracker recovery media? (http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&s=480&m=ASUS+Backtracker&os=&hashedid=n%2fa)
