Hey guys,
i just bought my new laptop yesterday (Europe region) and my power adapter/charger
is not even made by Asus, but by Delta electronics (this one: http://www.deltaww.com/Products/CategoryListT1.aspx?CID=0201&PID=352&hl=en-US&Name=ADP-230EB%20T) and to make things worse, i can't even plug this charger into my laptop.

I am of course going to call, and ask for a replacement.

But has this happened to anyone?

Thanks for the answer hmscott!
I was super sure that i got scammed by my retailer or something,
but i guess i was wrong, and its just a mix-up then.

No, it does not fit, i'm sure.
The power adapter/charger has a "male" jack, and the laptop also has a "male" power input.
Here it is (sorry about the bad quality... but you can see what i mean)

This is the type of input i would need ("female" jack): http://www.ferra.ru/869x3000/images/382/382172.jpg
But instead i got this one ("male" jack): http://www.shark.sk/galeria/91357/asus-g750jz-t4030h-default.jpg

Whoops, hang on hmscott, he showed pictures under the one he posted of the plug. It really DOES look wrong. He's meant to have the battery charger that I have.

He needs this plug http://p.globalsources.com/IMAGES/PDT/B1028904787/DC-Power-Plug.jpg

Where the metal core / Pin goes into the plug.

Both his laptop and the plug have a core pin in them, he's got two males! :c

Yes, hmscott you probably missed the paragraph below the picture.

Okay, so to the people who will be reading this in the future,
if you have similar problems like me, just call your retail store immediately
and they will either send you a replacement power adapter / charger,
or replace your laptop with a new one.
In my case they are going to send a new laptop.
The reason for this oversight is because mine is shipped without an OS.
Otherwise they would've checked the software, at least
this is what the guy at the store told me.

So yeah, no biggie, just a mix-up.

PS: the lesson to learn here is that once you receive the laptop check if they match!

Is your new, correct power adapter Asus or Delta electronics ?
